Swift Transportation Co. posted a second-quarter profit compared with a loss a year ago, the company said Thursday.
Its profit was $19.6 million, or 14 cents per share, compared with a loss of $23.1 million, or 38 cents, a year ago.
Revenue rose 15.5% to $850.5 million, the truckload carrier said in a statement.
Operating income rose 18.6% to $72.6 million, its highest second-quarter operating income in five years, CEO Jerry Moyes said.
