Third-party logistics provider GSC Logistics said it has purchased Seattle-based Best Way Trucking, effective June 1. Terms were not disclosed.
The combined companies will provide services throughout Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, the companies said Thursday. GSC was founded in 1988.
Their services will include trucking and intermodal drayage; cross-dock deconsolidation and transloading; super-chassis heavy hauling; and refrigerated, dry-freight and hazmat transportation.
“We wanted to expand our services into the Pacific Northwest because that region compliments our service coverage throughout northern California and Nevada, GSC Chairman Andres Garcia said in a statement.
“We are excited to join the GSC team, said Biniam Habte, director of operations for Best Way. “Our shared resources will allow us to concentrate on expanding our services to a national market.
