Rich Moskowitz, vice president and regulatory affairs counsel at American Trucking Associations, has been named chairman of the Consumer Energy Alliance.

CEA is an organization that promotes the needs of consumers and the economy in energy policy decisions in the United States, ATA said in a statement Wednesday.

“I look forward to helping CEA lead the charge to enact a balanced energy policy that meets consumers’ growing energy needs, Moskowitz said in the statement.

Moskowitz is the group’s first chairman, ATA said. CEA represents 139 members, and advocates for access to domestic oil and natural gas, increased utilization of alternative energy and enhanced energy efficiency and conservation, the group’s Web site said.
